Crafting in Social Distancing times
Ok, SO.....
Crafting has been something I've always done. It's part of who I am.
My crafting is now disrupted by the inability to get supplies.
Does anyone know how to order/buy DMC thread ONE skein at a time? I keep finding 12 or more skeins of the same color.
I have a project to finish and I don't have about 4 colors.... if I don't have them, it's generally because I don't use them often. So, I don't NEED 12 skeins of the same color.
Help?
It's been a bit
I took most of 2019 off from cross stitching. I taught myself to knit instead.
But I have had three colds since the middle of November and cross stitching is tolerate of sneezing fits.
I'm nearing the completion of the first section of the massive work. Soon I'll see if I was right about how easy that red fishing line will be to pull out and get a look at the next section to work.
So here's what's been done.
Where did 2016 go?
I started a new job.
We spent 6 months finding a house.
We spent 1 1/2 months chasing paperwork.
We spent the next 2 1/2 months staining the wood siding, trying to find curtains that aren't 84" long, putting together furniture and generally trying to make sure the place didn't echo.
The Holidays happened and here we are.
Now I feel like I have time to craft.
I started painting last week and this week I'll start stitching again.
Sadly.... I lost the pattern I'd marked in the move.
So I have to start with a new copy.
